I drive myself to work every morning, which takes about 10
minutes, and there is never any traffic. First thing I do is check
my e-mail to see if there are any urgent or emergency messages
dealing with the production schedule at the mill.
In my current role, I schedule production for Cottonelle® and
Scott® bath tissue for our Beech Island, South Carolina mill. I own
the production schedule for two tissue machines and 11 converting
assets, which is sent to the mill once per week. I work very
closely with the mill to ensure they understand what quantities and
stock codes need to be produced, and when they are needed. If there
are any machine failures, material shortages or other issues, they
are quickly communicated to me. I work with my team to prioritize
and adjust the schedule to minimize the risk of customer orders not
I also work with others on my Planning team and the Forecast
teams to plan and prepare for large customer orders and promotional
events, to make sure we have the proper production plans in place
to meet customer demand.
I usually eat lunch with coworkers in our cafeteria (or
sometimes at local restaurants), and have participated in the KCA
(Kimberly-Clark Activities) programs that are available
(basketball, softball, golf, etc.). I enjoy my current role, as
there is a lot of meaningful, impactful work that I do, and I like
the fast-paced and challenging work.
